Random

I have so much on my mind right now.
I'm excited!

have not smoked for 3 days.
Ok the guy next to me on the train just farted. Seriously.

Anyway, I feel great! This is the foundation for bigger and better things. If I can do this, I can also go to the gym. I need to take DJ lessons.

Will apply for more jobs today.

It's that time again

Every time I decide to get a new job, I need to lock myself up in a dungeon for a week to prepare. It happened last time. Kelley is enjoying a beautiful day and I'm home... PREPARING.
This is the only way to do it. Our weekends have been very busy and I get home at 9:30pm from work, every day.

I really feel that I've grown as an artist in the past year. For example, my old resume was very colorful and had graphics thrown around everywhere. My name was on the page upside down ( he he )... It looked "horsey" and now that I've looked at it again, I can say that it was ugly.

My current resume... fucking minimalistic genius!

In the past 20 months, I've learned:

1) Embrace minimalism.
2) Everyone is either too stupid or too busy to figure anything out.
3) Flash is dead.
4) Never justify fully, it causes rivers in the text!
5) Requesting a head shot of anyone is useless, they never have one.

But seriously, I have found my calling. I need to go into advertising.
I really love coming up with concepts.

I think this job search will go well.

First 1000 Miles

I decided to track every 1000 miles on the Jeep with highlights of what occurred during that driving period.

So...

First 1000 miles were passed on 11/10/2007, at 3:30pm.
The car passed the 1000 mile park just as I parked at my work's parking. I had just left the gas station where I bought a hot dog, cambells chunky sound, and a burrito (I took a chance with the burrito).

Events that occurred with the car during the first 1000 miles are:

Driving to Ikea and buying a big plant and other random stuff.
Driving for two hours to a Haunted House in NJ only to realize that it's mysteriously closed.
Driving to my parents house during a weekend (with my aunt and her dog in the car). The trip included a Casino and hilariously crappy strip club (to which we will go to again).
Driving to Williamsburg to a Halloween party.
Driving into the city to see Charlie Murphy at Caroline's and going to Matthew Duffy's album release party.

Halloween

I also had a plate of Sushi, but had to leave it because it really started to smell.

Car / Deserve / Tivo

I don't deserve this car. I don't deserve anything but a '95 Hyundai Accent (sorry Hyundai Accent owners), but I have it.

Funny thing I heard last night at Comedy Cellar:

"People get more excited about their Tivos than they do about marriage.
You ask a guy how married life is and the best thing he can say is 'it's terrific.'
Ask someone about their Tivo and you'll get: 'wow man, it's the best thing ever. Totally changed my life'"

And that's so true!

Also, I come out of the club dying for a cigarette. I bum one off the first guy I see... and the first guy I see happens to be Dave Attell!

Subway Platform

I'm standing on an incredibly packed train platform, waiting for the E train. Since the platform is so packed, I'm forced to stand inches behind some dude.
I start staring off into space while a C train comes and leaves. All of a sudden, the guy who I'm standing inches behind turns around and gives me a look. That's when I realize that practically everyone had gotten on the recently departed C train while I'm still homosexually close to this dude. You have to get the mental image in your head. Empty platform, me 3 inches behind a guy.

To end this blog entry I'm posting a picture of me in my cat vest. Purchased at the salvation army store for $4 (!)
